Southeastern is conveniently located in the city of Hammond,
thirty miles from Baton Rouge and fifty-five miles from New
Orleans. Situated at the intersection of interstate highways
55 and 12, Hammond serves as the commercial hub for Tangipahoa
parish. With the feel of a small town and the conveniences of
a big city, residents can enjoy local restaurants and shops in the
historic downtown area or access the Hammond Square shopping
complex which showcases anchor stores of Dillard’s, Sears,
Target, and J.C. Penny, along with a multitude of smaller retail
shops and restaurants. Medical facilities include a variety
of clinics and North Oaks Medical Center, the largest hospital in
Tangipahoa Parish, with over 2,500 employees.
