eRecruiting
Experience eRecruiting is a job search assistance system designed to make your job search easier and more efficient. All positions posted with our office - part-time, internship, and full-time, post-graduation - are entered into the eRecruiting database. To use eRecruiting you must register by completing a personal profile in the system and as Upperclassmen, it is highly recommended you upload your resume. Once your profile is completed, you will be able to search all job vacancy postings in the database.
Resume Referrals
By uploading and keeping a current copy of your resume in eRecruiting, you are eligible for our Resume Referral service. Employers who have posted job vacancies, request resumes of graduating seniors and alumni, and Career Services forwards them resumes from eRecruiting that match the job qualifications. The employer then contacts the students and alumni they wish to interview. Interviews take place at a location chosen by the employer.
On-Campus Interviews
Employers schedule on-campus interviews for full-time, post graduation positions, and internships, each fall and spring semester. Sign up for On-Campus Interviews by submitting your eRecruiting resume for positions in which you are interested. Employers decide which applicants they wish to interview, and our office notifies you of those decisions. Interviews take place in the Career Services offices in the Student Union Annex, Room 241, above the Retail Bookstore.
Career Fair
Career Fair is an annual, university-wide event held each fall semester, featuring over 130 local and national employers seeking to fill positions within their organizations. Employers attend Career Fair to meet many candidates and determine who would be the best fit for future interviews. Career Fair is an excellent way to network with multiple organizations - all in one location - and learn about career opportunities. This is more formal event than the Part-Time Job Fairs, and professional attire is expected. Career Services office offers Pre-Fair Events and tips to prepare you for attending.
Student Employment
The Student Employment Office within Career Services at Southeastern continuously works hard to establish relationships with hundreds of employers in an effort to locate off-campus part-time jobs and internship opportunities for any Southeastern student who wants to work while in school.
Part-Time Job and Internship Fairs
Part-Time Job Fairs are held each fall and spring semester. The Fall Part-Time Job Fair, held in August, focuses on part-time positions. The Summer Jobs and Internships Fair, held in April, focuses on summer jobs & internships. These job fairs are casual events held in the Student Union Mall area - come “as you are” in between your classes.
Employer Recruitment Tables
Employers have the opportunity to set-up recruitment tables in the Student Union Mall area to promote job opportunities within their organizations. Students are encouraged to speak with employers about their organizations and available opportunities. Details about scheduled Recruitment Tables can be found in eRecruiting, under Events in the Calendar.
Employer Information Sessions
Some employers will present Information Sessions, mainly during afternoon or evening hours, providing students the opportunity to learn more about their organizations and career opportunities in an informal business social setting. Details about scheduled Information Sessions are provided in eRecruiting, under Events in the Calendar.
