Resume Referrals
Put your resume in eRecruiting, and let it go to work for you!
Our Resume Referral Service can get your resume into the hands of an employer needing to fill a position. Employers with job vacancies will request student and alumni resumes from Career Services. We then forward to the employer student and alumni resumes from eRecruiting that match the employer's job vacancy qualifications. The employer will then contact those students and alumni they wish to interview. Interviews take place at a location chosen by the employer.
In order to participate in this service, you must first create an account in eRecruiting and upload a resume into your account. Before publishing your resume in eRecruiting, take advantage of our Resume Review Services and Optimal Resume. Optimal Resume is another resource to help you create your resume.
A few things to note about our Resume Referral service:
- It is important to maintain an account and resume with accurate and up to date contact information. Failure to keep your information up to date could result in the employer not being able to get in touch with you.
- By registering and uploading your resume to eRecruiting, you are voluntarily giving Southeastern Louisiana University and the Office of Career Services permission to release your resume and other career related documentation in printed or electronic format to qualified employers requesting resumes.
- You will not receive notification from the Office of Career Services that your resume has been included in a Resume Referral; however, if an employer considers you for possible employment, they will contact you directly.
- To increase the reach of your resume, be sure to post your resume to resume books within eRecruiting.
In addition to the resume referral service, the Office of Career Services also provides job vacancy postings to you through eRecruiting. To view and apply for these job vacancy opportunities, you must register and create an account in eRecruiting.
