Here you will find the answers to the most commonly asked questions as you prepare for Spring 2013.

Admissions...

I have applied, but my application is still incomplete. How do I check my application status?

You can check your admission application status by logging into LEONET. Once logged into LEONET, click on Self Service>Student Admissions. If you still have documents to turn in, bring them to the Office of Admissions. Immunization records can be faxed to 985.549.5882. College transcripts must be hand-delivered in a signed, sealed envelope. Application fees can be paid in person at the Controller's Office.

 

I have turned in all of my documents, but still cannot register. What do I need to do?

Your application may still be under review or you may need to attend Orientation. We recommend you come to the Office of Admissions to speak with an Admissions Counselor about the admission requirements and your admission status.

 

 

Financial Aid...

What is my financial aid status?

You can check the status of your financial aid award by logging into your LEONET account. Once logged into LEONET, click on Self Service>Campus Finances>View Financial Aid. The current financial aid year is 2012-2013.
 
When will my scholarships, grants, or loans show as anticipated aid?
Any grants or scholarships will appear on your account as soon as they are posted. Student loans will not show as anticipated aid unless they are accepted in writing by returning a signed award letter. If you have been awarded aid and have not received your award letter, you may stop by the Financial Aid Office and have one printed to sign. You can also fax signed award letters (both sides) to 985.549.5077.
 
How do I know if I need to submit financial aid documents?
You may check your "To Do List" on LEONET for details. Click on Self Service>Student Center to see what actions are needed to complete your financial aid process. You may turn in documents in person to the Office of Financial Aid reception desk, or fax documents to 985.549.5077.

How do I get advised?
Before you can register your classes, you need to be advised.You should contact the department of your major for information on academic advising.

How do I register for classes?

When is the last day to register classes for Spring?
Class registration ends Tuesday, January 15 at 5:00pm. No class changes or additions are allowed after Tuesday at 5:00pm.

How do I reset my LEONET password?

If you forgot you password and can not access your LEONET or WEBMAIL, here you can find directions on how to reset your password. Click on question number 8 on the Computer Help Desk FAQ website.



Paying Fees...

How do I pay my tuition and fees?
You can pay in person, online or by mail. In person, you can pay with cash or check at the Cashier’s Section of the Controller’s Office, during office hours. You can mail in a check to the Controller's Office, Southeastern Louisiana University, SLU 10720, Hammond, LA 70402. Please be sure to write your student ID number (W#) on your payment. All credit card payments must be made online through your LEONET account. Instructions for online fee payment.

When are fees due?

All fees must be paid by the fee payment deadline: Friday, January 18 by 12:30pm.

Can I defer payment of my fees?
Southeastern offers an installment payment plan with three payments.

How do I sign up for direct deposit? 
Print and complete the direct deposit form. Bring the direct deposit form along with a voided check or official document from your bank to the Payroll Office, Room 105, in the Controller’s Office.


Student IDs...

Where do I pick up my student ID?
Student IDs can be picked up on the second floor of the North Campus Main Building at the Campus Card Operations Office. Your tuition and fees must be paid in full, or your financial aid must be posted to your account before you can pick up your student ID.

What do I need to bring to pick up my student ID?
 
A photo ID or birth certificate is required to pick up your ID. Your tuition and fees must be paid in full, or your financial aid must be posted to your account before you can pick up your student ID.

How do I add money to my Lion's Lagniappe?
You can bring cash, check or money order to the Controller's Office. During the registration process, you may add Lion’s Lagniappe through your LEONET account: Self Service>Vehicle/Meal Plan/Lagniappe >Search >Click on Term>Choose Amount >Save. Once classes begin, you may add Lion’s Lagniappe through Manage My ID

How do I pick up my parking decal?
First you need to register for your parking decal on LEONET. For directions, see the LEONET-HOW DO I. Your tuition and fees must be paid in full, or your financial aid must be posted to your account before you can pick up your parking decal.

Where do I pick up my parking decal?
Campus Police - Parking Division will be issuing student parking decals at the Parking Office located in Pride Hall. Cost for a parking decal is $45.00 for an academic year.

What do I need to bring to pick up my parking decal?
You need to bring a photo ID and valid vehicle registration to obtain your parking decal.

Textbook Rental...

How do I pick up my rental textbooks?
Once all of your fees are paid or your financial aid is posted, you can pick up your textbooks with your student ID. Print out a copy of your class schedule from LEONET and bring your student ID with you to pick up your rental textbooks.

How can I check into campus housing?
Contact the Office of University Housing for check-in details. The Office of Student Housing is located in Pride Hall.

Where can I get information about carpools?
The carpool message board is the central place to connect with others and is unique in that it allows you to determine your own criteria for choosing a fellow commuter.

Where can I buy Southeastern gear and school supplies?
Visit the University Bookstore located in the War Memorial Student Union to purchase supplemental workbooks and manuals, Southeastern apparel and gifts, as well as school supplies and computer software.
