Southeastern Louisiana University Extended Studies offers you a unique opportunity to learn about Photography. Zoom into Photography is an innovative week-long workshop for high school students taught by a seasoned professional photographer. You will enjoy hands-on experience and learn to capture images that visualize a story or event. You will learn creative and technical skills to help you produce quality photographs. The skills you learn will be directly applicable to a career as a professional photographer. Bring your own camera and a passion for photography!
Learn the art of capturing images that become impressions of your life. Zoom into Photography will enhance your skills in shooting, lighting, composition, posing, color management, and much more. You will focus on digital photography techniques and Adobe Photoshop for photography. Working with special effects in Adobe Photoshop, you will create your final showpiece. On your last day you will have an opporutinty to display your work for family and friends to enjoy! In addition, each participant’s work will be posted online.
Your talents with a camera can lead you to a career in photography. Potential career pathways include commercial, editorial, military, aerial, and professional studio photography, newspaper photojournalism, photographic editing, and photography studio management. |
