Book Clubs read The Courage to Teach in 2010

01/15/10by: Natasha Whitton

We have two book clubs, in addition to an online space. We hope that you join us.

This is a reminder that we will have two book club meetings: George Dorrill will lead the meeting in Hamomond, Wednesday, Jan 27th--presumably at PJ's coffee on University andLeina Ballwill lead the meeting in Covington Thursday, Jan 28th, at la Madeline's Bakery in Mandeville (near Barns Noble), both meetings will begin at 6pm

The book we will be discussing and writing about will be The Courage to Teach: Exploring the Inner Landscape of a Teacher's Life by Parker J. Palmer

*This book is available through netbooks via the library if you are at Southeastern or off campus if you have a current W#.
*Also-the book broaches many topics rich for discussion that we could discuss even if everyone has not read the book, but it really is wonderful so I hope you can track down a copy, but feel free to join us either way.

Hope to see you with the book, your writer's notebook, pen and thoughts to share. If you plan to attend Mandeville meeting please send me an email letting me know: leina@charter.netand if you get lost en route call my cell: 985-630-7742. If you plan to attend the Hammond meeting email Richard at rlouth@southeastern.edu.
If you would like to join us for an online discussion, contact Tasha ( nwhitton@southeastern.edu) to join our Ning.
