How does the leadership ensure that the school's vision, purpose, and goals guide the teaching and learning process?
The leadership provides teachers with the supplies, materials, and curriculum support needed to achieve the school’s vision. The leadership provides and encourages professional development activities. During the 07-08 school year, each teacher will receive $500.00 to attend the professional development activity of their choice. This PD can come in the form of conferences, workshops, seminars, or in-services. Observations and evaluations of teachers ensure best practices are used; therefore, student learning is enhanced. Leadership also notifies stakeholders of needs of the school. This later process allowed the leadership to bring in more than $80,000 in outside funding during 2006-2007.
