Welcome to Southeastern Louisiana University Laboratory School Standards Assessment Report (SAR) web site. This web site has been developed to allow the viewer the opportunity to preview the school's SAR artifacts.
Southeastern's Louisiana University Laboratory School is located at 1200 General Pershing Drive, Hammond Louisiana, 70402. We are a K-8 school and home to over 225 Cubs. We have 11 full-time faculty members, 2 part-time faculty members, and 8 members of our support staff. During the 2006-2007 school year, the school received a 4 star rating from the state based on an SPS score of 121.7.
As you view this web site and the attached standards and sample artifacts, we believe you will see why Southeastern Louisiana University has one of the best Laboratory Schools in the Nation. For example, as you search through the artifacts you will see that during the 2006-2007 school year 100% of the cubs in grades 4 and 8 passed the LEAP exam, 2 students from the school were name the parish elementary and middle school students of the year the 2006-2007 State Geography Bee Champion is from our school, the parish elementary teacher of the year along with the 2006-2007 National Elementary Art Educator are also from the Laboratory School. So far this academic year, we have the parish Spelling Bee Champion and our boys basketball team just won the Ponchatoula Junior High Basketball championship.
