The International Initiatives Office houses the Study Abroad program at Southeastern. Southeastern students, as well as visiting students, have the opportunity to take summer classes in foreign countries.
Recent programs have included trips to Italy, Spain, Germany, England, China, Panama, and the Galapagos. Classes offered include Business, Biology, Literature, Language Studies, Theatre, Communication, and History. Specific class offerings vary from year to year.
Studying abroad adds an invaluable dimension to a student’s academic, cultural, and professional development. It also provides an advantage in an increasingly competitive job market.
Firsthand experience of other countries and cultures provides a clearer understanding of ourselves, our own society and culture, our place in the global community, and our common human heritage.
