Other Fees and Expenses
Application Fee
All applicants, domestic and international, must submit a $20.00 application fee to the Office of Admissions at the time application is made. An application fee is required for each application submitted. The application fee rate is subject to change at any time. Please check the application to verify the fee and review the information available at the calendar web link. Applicants applying after the application deadline will be assessed a late application fee ($50.00).

International Student Fees
International Students are required to pay an additional $30.00 processing fee. Health insurance for international students will be assessed at the prevailing rate for the fall semester and for the spring/summer semester. The current rate is $108 for international student insurance.
Laboratory Fees
Additional fees for laboratory usage and supplies may be charged by some departments.
Thesis/Dissertation Fees
Candidates for master’s and doctoral degrees are required to pay for the cost of having his/her thesis/dissertation typed and bound. The University charges $35.00 for the first three copies, and $10.00 for each additional copy. Thesis binding fees must be paid to the Controller's Office prior to submission of the thesis to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies for binding.

Tuition Wavers
Tuition and fee waivers are provided to graduate students who hold assistantships. The assistantship may be classified as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, Teaching Assistantship, Research Assistantship, Professional Services Assistantship, or Administrative Assistantship. Graduate students must apply to receive a graduate assistantship. Only students classified as Regular or Contingent admission status are eligible for graduate assistantships. A graduate student receiving an assistantship and the associated tuition waiver must remain in good academic standing and is required to register for a minimum full course load of nine (9) graduate credit hours in his/her specified degree plan or program of study to retain an assistantship.
