Digital Photography - Beginner
Course Overview:
This class will cover the basics of digital photography. Topics include: Differences between point and shoot vs. SLR, equipment settings, such as resolution, zoom, and white balance, uploading images to various web sites, use of various lighting situations, natural posing composition. Camera and technical skills will be covered, including how to adjust ISO, shutter speed, and aperture (F-Stop) for different lighting conditions, and how to shoot in manual mode with better results. In addition, the course will answer questions such as, "What is depth of field?" and "How and when should I use fill flash?"
There are no prerequisites required for this course. The student only needs to know how to point and shoot.

Mr. Chuck Billiot
Photographer and Owner of Billiot Photography and Video in Mandeville, will be teaching beginner and intermediate photography courses and Photoshop for photographers.
Chuck’s "dare to be unique" approach to photography and videography has won him critical acclaim from his peers as well as several awards from the Greater New Orleans Professional Photographer’s Guild (GNOPPG). Chuck has been shooting professionally since 1978.
Chuck's interest in photography was sparked by a biology class in high school. His photography career began in the Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk photographing air craft carriers along with aerial shots. He is also a photojournalist. His most recent photography achievement is his status as a Certified Professional Photographer. |
