About Extended Studies

Mission Statement:

The Division of Extended Studies was established to coordinate all non-credit programs and special activities, both on and off-campus. The division supports Southeastern credit courses delivered at off-campus facilities in Mandeville (at the St. Tammany Center) and in Walker (at the Literacy and Technology Center.) The Division of Extended Studies supports and facilitates credit courses via distance education through compressed video, tele-courses, and via Blackboard (online.)

The Division of Extended Studies strives to meet the needs of the non-traditional student as well as the educational and training needs of business, industry, government, and the community at large. The Division of Extended Studies offers a variety of academic and recreational camps during the summer, and is also responsible for the daily operations of Southeastern facilities in Mandeville and Walker.
