Academic Advising for Freshmen
First Two Regular (Fall and Spring) Semesters or 30 hours, whichever comes first
Academic advising is an opportunity to meet with your assigned advisor to receive the personal attention necessary for academic success. Together you will develop strategies for overcoming any obstacles that may impede your educational and life goals.
You can make an appointment to see your advisor by calling him or her. Their phone numbers are listed below. The sign-in office is located in Southeastern Hall, Room 113.
During their first semester, students meet with their CSE Advisor to: (1) complete an academic map, (2) complete an at-risk assessment and follow through on prescribed actions as needed, (3) explore career possibilities as appropriate, and (4) complete course selection and registration for the following semester.
Freshmen students are assigned to advisors by their Academic College.
