Student Organizations

Student organizations are a vital part of the Department of Art and constitutes one of the best opportunities for students to integrate knowledge from the classroom with everyday experiences of living and working in a society with people of varied interests, ideas and values.

Visual Arts Society
VAS is a student organization, funded by the student activities fee. It serves as a volunteer advocacy group for Visual Arts students, providing a forum for students to investigate and discuss contemporary art issues.
VAS funds and manages activities including (but not limited to): Student Shows, Field Trips, Figure Drawing classes, Visiting Artist Lectures, Drawing Marathons, and Group Critiques.
Weekly meetings are held in Clark Hall and all students are encouraged to participate in both the management of the organization and the activities it runs.
