Michelle Dussault

Michelle Dussault is a 2-Dimensional artist and assistant professor in studio art at Southeastern Louisiana University. Michelle studied at Rhode Island College and Friends World College, receiving her B.A in Cultural Anthropology in 1992 from Rhode Island College. She holds an M.F.A. from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Michelle joined the faculty at Southeastern LA University in 2005, where she teaches all levels of drawing.
Working in drawing, painting & video Michelle’s work uses a pop sensibility and caustic wit to create oblique narratives that are formulated through social research and personal storytelling.
Dussault has exhibited her creative research throughout the United States. Her work was included in a 2006 exhibition juried by Elisabeth Sussman at the Pleiades Gallery in New York. Michelle’s work has been exhibited locally and nationally in Baton Rouge, New York and Boston.
