Lynda Katz
Art History, Ceramics | Visual Resources Coordinator

Lynda Katz currently serves as Visual Resources Coordinator and instructor of Art History Survey courses. Her educational background includes a B. A. from Douglass College of Rutgers University and an M.S. in Ceramic Art from Florida State University. In June of 2006 she completed the Summer Educational Institute for Visual Resources and Image Management sponsored by ARLIS/NA and The VRA.
In addition to her interests in art history and Visual Resources, she maintains an active career as a ceramic artist, exhibiting her work both regionally and nationally, and is represented in numerous collections throughout the U.S. She has served on the Boards of several statewide and regional arts organizations. She joined Southeastern Louisiana University in 1987 as an adjunct instructor in ceramics and at various times has taught ceramics, drawing, and art history survey, and directed the gallery. Since 2005 she serves as a full time instructor teaching Art History Survey and Basic Ceramics and as Visual Resources Coordinator developing the Visual Resource Library.
