New Media and Animation

Edward Morin

"I have been working in digital and electronic formats since the late 90's, including video, animation, sound, multimedia installations and robotics. A common thread in my work has been an interest in the relationship between the structure of language, perception, and the methods in which cultures share and access information.

My work in video and animation is informed by the imagery of scientific texts and educational media that I have been exposed to through public television, museums, and all of my classroom experiences. Current endeavors include an interest in using the video game as a platform for exploring persona as well as individual experience and social interaction."

Professor Morin's prior teaching experiences include 3 years at Syracuse University as an Adjunct Faculty member, teachings courses in 2D Design, 3D Design, and Metalsmithing.
He has also taught as Adjunct Faculty at SUNY Oswego (3D Design) and Columbus State University (Web Design and Interactive Multimedia).

Prior to arriving at Southeastern, he was the Senior Multimedia Developer at Omega Training Group in Columbus, Georgia, where he worked on Training and Simulation applications for the US Military.
