Reconnect
Reconnect: The purpose of this organization is to provide students with an opportunity to help educate the campus community about environmental and sustainability issues, connect with other student groups (both internal and external to Southeastern) who share common goals and assist in the greening of Southeastern and the community at large.
The group attends local and nationwide events like the environmental community organizing conference, Powershift, in Wash. D.C. in Feb 09 and Tulane’s Environmental Law and Policy Conference in April of 09 and participates in programs like Green Light New Orleans, Keep Hammond Beautiful trash pick-up days, SELU’s recycling program, and in Earth Day activities.
