Originally from Iowa, oboist Lissa Stolz is currently in her third 
season as the English hornist of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to joining the LPO, Lissa was the interim oboe professor at The University of Iowa. She studied with Alex Klein and Grover Schiltz at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University. She played for three seasons with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, which included a performance at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. She has also performed with the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, the Omaha Symphony, the Charleston Symphony and the Florida West Coast Symphony. While in Chicago, Lissa enjoyed performing frequently with the Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra as well as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, with whom she joined on their 2009 tour of Asia.
