Meredeth Rouse joins the Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Music and Dramatic Arts faculty as the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's English Horn player for the 2007-08 season. She is currently taking a leave of absence from the position of Second Oboe in the Princeton Symphony, and that of English horn in the Binghamton Philharmonic. She has performed with Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Opera Boston, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. From 2000 through 2002, she was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
Ms. Rouse received a Bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory where she was a student of Alfred Genovese. Continuing her studies with Joseph Robinson, she completed a Master's degree in Orchestral Performance and a Professional Studies Certificate from the Manhattan School of Music, where she later served as oboe teaching assistant for four years.
