A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mrs. Piattoly holds Lindsey Piattolydegrees in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University and Loyola University New Orleans.

 

Mrs. Piattoly has performed in numerous operas, including Puccini's "La Boheme", Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro", Britten's "A Midsummer night's dream", Verdi's "La Traviata", Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann",.and Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore”. In 2006, she performed in a special Gala with the New Orleans Opera Association, dedicated to the recovery of New Orleans in which Placido Domingo was the guest artist.

 

Her opera credits include Barab’s “Little Red Riding Hood” as the Grandmother, Weill’s “Street Scene” as Emma Jones, Sondheim’s “A Little night music”, as Petra, Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” as the Sorceress, and Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” as the Mother and Witch. In 2009, she had the unique honor of singing the role of Camille Briochette in the world premiere of “Bang the Law” by Jonathan Freilich.

 

A frequent concert soloist, Mrs. Piattoly made her debut in Europe with performances in Marostica, Italy; Paris, France; Graz, Austria; and culminated her european tour with a performance at the world-renowned Brucknerhaus in Linz, Austria singing the “Mass in time of War”, or “Paukenmesse” by Haydn. Other credits include performances of numerous Bach Cantatas, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony: An die Freude”, Durufle’s “Requiem”, Haydn’s “Mass in C (Mariazeller)”, Mozart’s “Regina Coeli”, and Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater”.
