Lindsey Keay, a native of Calgary Canada, holds a Lindsey KeayBachelors degree in Music Studies and Human Learning and a Performance Certificate in Flute from The University of Texas in Austin. She recently completed a Masters degree in Flute Performance from The University of Southern Mississippi, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Music Education.

 

Ms. Keay recently presented research at the Symposium for Research in Music Teaching and Learning at the University of North Texas, the International Symposium on the Sociology of Music Education, the Louisiana Music Educators Association Conference, and the American Educational Research Association’s Annual Conference.

 

In addition to her research activities, Ms. Keay performs frequently as third flute/piccolo with the Meridian Symphony Orchestra, as well as a regular substitute player with the Gulf Coast, Tupelo, and Mississippi Symphony Orchestras. During the summers, Ms. Keay serves as the principal flutist in the Natchez Music Festival as well as Hattiesburg’s annual music gala, Festival South.
