Dave Carbonara received his Bachelor and Master's degrees from the Juilliard School in New York City. He has studied with Linda McKnight, David Walter, Eugene Levinson and Bruse Bransby. He was principal bass of the Virginia Symphony in Norfolk Virginia. He is currently playing with the Louisiana Philharmonic in New Orleans where he has been a member since 1992. He plays jazz and teaches extensively in the southern Louisiana area.
