David Bernard David Bernard attended the University of New Orleans where he received a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance. Soon after graduating, he was invited to join the Young Artist Development Program at The Metropolitan Opera where he made his debut at the age of 21, making him one of the youngest males to debut at The Met. He has sung under the baton of many world renowned conductors including James Levine, Manuel Rosenthal and Julius Rudel, as well as singing with opera companies and symphonies across the United States and in the Far East. He has been heard in “Live from the Met” television broadcasts on PBS and on National Public Radio.

Dr. Bernard as holds a Master of Arts in vocal performance from Montclair State University and Doctorate in vocal pedagogy from the University of Maryland, as well as post-doctorate studies in voice science. He was Assistant Professor of Voice and Director of Opera Theatre at the University of New Orleans and has maintained a private studio for 19 years. He is a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing and a member of The American Guild of Musical Artists.
