Musical Ensembles at Southeastern

Artistry and Excellence

The Music Program of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts offers musical ensembles for all types of Southeastern student participants, whether they want to participate as an avocation, or to develop their skills in a much more directed and professional way.

Large ensembles include two university bands, two athletic bands, multiple jazz ensembles, an orchestra, four choral ensembles, and an opera presentation each semester. In addition, there are many studio related ensembles and student chamber groups.

All ensembles are open to all Southeastern students. Most ensembles require auditions for placement purposes. Materials may typically be procured in advance for many ensembles. Individual ensemble directors can provide information on auditions for their ensembles.
