Undergraduate Music Programs
Something for every interest
The Department of Music and Dramatic Arts offers a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Music Education and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance.
The Bachelor of Music Education program augments the traditional music curriculum with coursework in instrumental and vocal methods and educational studies to prepare for Louisiana State Certification for teaching. The Bachelor of Music program is designed to prepare students for careers in performing. Both degree programs serve as excellent preparation for graduate studies.
In addition, the department offers a minor in music, and students may choose a music concentration as part of the General Studies program.
