About the Department

Welcome to General Business

The department had over 900 majors in FY 2006-2007, of which more than 700 were full-time, 160 were part-time, 876 were General Business majors, and roughly 40 were Office Administration majors. Four concentrations (General Business, Economics, Business Technology, and International Business) and the two-year Office Administration degree program have provided a spectrum of fields for students to consider. The curricula have been updated on a continuous basis to provide quality education and increase retention and graduation rates. The department emphasizes quality advising and service to the majors. Dedicated faculty provided effective classroom or online teaching, engaged in applied research, and helped the majors whenever needed. Mrs. Lou Salisbury (Administrative Assistant), Brian Waterall (GA), Lauren Villalobos (GA), Shirletha Brown, Darnell Jones, Michelle Huval, and Ashely Woodard are the student workers who provide outstanding services to the faculty and major students.
