Advising for Communication Majors
The Communication Department offers advising to its majors every day during the semester during regular university business hours. Advising is not available during academic breaks or during the break between semesters.
Office Hours:
During the Fall and Spring semesters, office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During Summer terms, office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Advisors are also available by appointment.
All communication majors must be advised before their registration hold can be lifted.
To be advised, come to the Communication Department Advising Office located in D Vickers Hall, room 226 (top of the stairs). That's all there is to it.
You may also pose questions to the advisors at commadvisor@selu.edu.
Approximately 3 weeks prior to the priority registration period, advisors will generate an advising email to each major with suggested courses for the next semester. If the suggested courses are acceptable, all you need to do is respond with a return email stating that as much as possible your class schedule will utilize the suggested courses. When advisors receive your response, your registration hold will be lifted.
