Scholarships in Chemistry and Physics
Jack Knight Scholarship in Chemistry
The scholarship, currently in the amount of $365 per semester, is awarded to a degree-seeking chemistry major. The recipient of the scholarship is chosen by a committee consisting of all tenured chemistry faculty. The Department will periodically send out a call for applications.
The minimum requirements are
- A GPA of 3.0, both overall and in all chemistry courses.
- Completion of at least CHEM 121/122/123/124.
Other criteria that will be taken into account are
- Interest in chemistry as a career.
- Financial need.
- Involvement in chemistry outside the classroom.
- Volunteer work related to chemistry.
- Academic performance.
