Senior Chemistry Student Megan Lanier wins First Place at Student Presentation Competition at Rice University

Ms. Megan L. Lanier, a senior chemistry major working under the direction of Dr. Debra Dolliver and Dr. David Norwood, won first place at an undergraduate student oral presentation competition at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Megan’s talk featured the research that she has performed at Southeastern and was titled, “Reactions of O-Alkylarylhydroximoyl Azides in Electrophilic Media.” Megan also received a certificate and a cash prize of $250 for winning the event.
