Bonnie Richard
I am a native Louisianian, raised in Baton Rouge, where I developed a passion for being outdoors, exploring nature, and avoiding rabid football fans. I received my undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in spring 2007 in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Ecological, Environmental, and Evolutionary Biology. During that time, I volunteered to work on data collection with graduate students for their thesis work, including parasitological and herpetological projects.
I am currently working on a project to study the effects of invasive species of insects on the native insect populations in the carrion community in the Ponchartrain Basin area. This will be important when using insect evidence in legal investigations in the future. If you are interested in becoming involved in any of these areas, please feel free to contact me or stop by my office on the second floor of the New Biology Building in room 222.
In my spare time I love collecting old video games for my NES, painting, wandering, camping, scrapbooking, tubing, travelling, and cheesy jokes. I can also speak German, although I will admit, I am a bit rusty.
