Josephine Antwi

I was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. I completed my undergraduate education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in May 2005 with a Bsc. in Natural Resource Management with a focus on wildlife and range management. My undergraduate research compared the diversity of butterflies in different habitats in the Bobiri Forest Reserve in Ghana.
My current research focuses on populations of butterflies in fragmented rainforests of Ghana using maternal genetic markers.
I also have interest in using other taxa to answer population genetic questions that address conservation needs.
My major advisor is Dr. Janice Bossart.
