Graduate Degrees in the Biology Deparment



The Department of Biological Sciences offers a wide variety of programs for students pursuing a Master of Science degree in the Biology. Examples include:

 
* Ecology and Environmental Biology    * Cellular and Molecular Biology          
* Evolutionary Biology * Microbiology
* Genetics * Anatomy and Physiology
 

The Department of Biological Sciences offers two master’s programs: thesis and non-thesis.  The requirements for each of these programs are different.  Follow the links below for description of our thesis and non-thesis programs, and for information on the application procedure, deadlines, and requirements for each program.

All graduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences are members of the Biology Graduate Student Organization (BGSO).  A list of our current graduate students and their research interests is listed here.

 

The admission deadlines for students beginning the following semester are February 1st (thesis and non-thesis program)
and
November 15th (non-thesis program only).

Late applications may be considered on a case by case basis.
