Science and Technology Awards for Research (STAR)
The Science and Technology Awards for Research (STAR) program seeks to enhanceundergraduate education by providing funding for students to become engaged in research
projects carried out in collaboration with a faculty member in the College of Science
and Technology. STAR is a coordinated
effort to provide undergraduates with access to on-campus research and creative work
opportunities. Proposals (which may be submitted by an individual student or a team
of students) must be approved by a faculty sponsor and that student’s department head.
Research Awards up to $1500 are
awarded each semester!

Proposals are due the third Friday of each semester. See the Request for Proposals (RFP) below for complete information.
*Note that STAR awards cannot be used to fund conference travel for presentation of research. Please see the Conference Presentation Travel Grant (CPTG) page for such funding.
