Welcome to the College of Science and Technology at Southeastern Louisiana University.
The College of Science and Technology is comprised of over 120 faculty members dedicated to providing the highest quality educational experience to our students. We have a long tradition of producing graduates who are nationally competitive for admittance to the best graduate and professional programs, and our students that enter the workplace are competitive for high-paying jobs in the scientific and technological fields. We accomplish this through a combination of outstanding teaching by our faculty who are respected leaders in their fields, as well as by a wide variety of out of classroom experiences, such as internships and undergraduate research opportunities. At the end of their undergraduate careers, many of our students have attended and made presentations at professional conferences, and some are co-authors on published research.
As proud as we are of our past and current accomplishments, we are always looking to the future to ensure that we will play a leading role in the ever-changing fields of science and technology. We also contribute significantly to the education of our next generation of high school science and mathematics teachers, and are actively involved in scientific educational and outreach activities. In addition to educating our students, we also feel that it is our responsibility to help raise the awareness and scientific literacy of the greater northshore community.
