- The Student Opportunity for Achievement in Research (SOAR) Committee in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences has the responsibility of establishing guidelines, soliciting proposals, and recommending funding to the Dean of the College for those proposals which merit funding for student research.
- Further committee responsibility involves providing opportunities for research experiences at the undergraduate level in the College of Nursing & Health Sciences through the provision of funding, faculty mentoring and the development of research skills.
The Committee reviews grant proposals for student research projects for each academic year.
The membership of the SOAR Committee is composed of seven faculty from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences including the chair of the committee. Each member of the Committee serves a three-year term.
