To add School Library Service to a validLouisiana elementary or secondary teaching certificate, you must complete the 18/21 semester hours of coursework listed below:

| *NOTE: Implementation date of enrolling freshman will be the fall of 1979, and those persons having their certificates updated will be excluded from this requirement. | ||
If you have completed all 19/21 semester hours as listed above and wish to receive a formal evaluation for the purpose of obtaining additional certification, you must send your official transcript(s) with a completed Change-of-Action Packet to the Louisiana Department of Education, Division of Teacher Certification and Higher Education.
