Post Baccalaureate Certificate Eligible
The chart below identifies requirements to be completed in order to add-on a certification level and/or a certification area within levels to an existing valid teaching certificate. This certification leads to a Post Baccalaureate Certificate.

1. Achieve passing score for PRAXIS PLT: Early Childhood Exam (#0621) or Accumulate 15 credit hours of combined Nursery School and Kindergarten coursework.
2. Accumulate 9 semester hours of reading coursework, if not previously completed.*

1. Achieve passing score for PRAXIS Elementary Education: Content Knowledge (#0014).
2. Achieve passing score for PRAXIS PLT: Early Childhood Exam (#0621) or Accumulate 15 credit hours of combined Nursery School and Kindergarten coursework.
3. Accumulate 9 semester hours of reading coursework.*

Successful completion of all 15 semester hours listed above, completion of all associated required Praxis examinations, and completion of the requirements for reading methods, and wish to receive the Post Baccalaureate Certificate plus add-on certification, please contact the Assistant Dean of the College of Education who must fill out the proper form and submit it to the Louisiana Department of Education and the Louisiana Board of Regents.
