Educational Technology Facilitation
Certification endorsement in Educational Technology Facilitation will prepare teachers whose role it is to assist other teachers in their use of technology to support student learning, communications, and productivity in the classroom. The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) approved requirements are listed below.

A valid Type B Louisiana Teaching Certificate*

A minimum of 9 semester hours of graduate credit in educational technology including:

Persons who have met requirements 1 and 2 may be issued an Educational Technology Facilitation certification endorsement.

Certified teachers who have served as a facilitator of educational technology at the building level may petition the Office of Certification and Higher Education to be grandfathered in with an Educational Technology Facilitation certification endorsement if they meet the following qualifications by August 31, 2002:

Hold certification in computer literacy and have earned an additional six semester hours in educational technology, and have served as a facilitator of educational technology at the school, district, regional, or state level successfully for the past three years as verified by the employment authority |

Have served as a facilitator of educational technology at the school, district, regional, or state level successfully for the past five years as verified by the employing authority |
* Requires three years of teaching experience.
