Scholarship Criteria
Eligibility Guidelines and Links to Applications
Below you will find a list of the specific scholarships offered in the College of Business along with the criteria and other information about each scholarship. A link to the application for the scholarship is also provided. The scholarship amounts shown below are annual amounts that are subject to change. These amounts are typically disbursed in two equal installments, one in the Fall semester and one in the Spring semester.
Althouse Nesser K-Team Printing and Imaging Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $350 annually.
- Minimum cumulative GPA 2.00.
- Full-time student.
- Majoring in Business.
- This scholarship may be retained as long as the criteria above are met each semester.
- Submission of a one page written essay to answer the following questions: "What is my primary goal in life and why am I a candidate for this scholarship?".
- Special consideration to students who are employed at Kwik Kopy Printing.
- Copy of resume required.
Charles Emery Cate Excellence in Business Endowed Scholarship
- Approximately $1,750 annually.
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0.
- At least 30 hours earned at Southeastern.
- Full-time student.
- Majoring in Business.
- Active in University extracurricular activities.
- This scholarship may be retained as long as the criteria above are met each semester.
- Copy of resume required.
Charles Wesley Merritt Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $2,000 annually for undergraduate students and $900 annually for graduate students.
- Scholarship is not retained each year, but students may re-apply annually.
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- Majoring in Business or MBA program.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate; 3.5 for graduate.
- Undergraduate must have earned 30 semester hours to be eligible.
- Copy of resume required.
The Christina Vachetta Buehler Memorial Scholarship
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0.
- Majoring in Marketing.
- Full-time student.
- Preference will be given to a student from the New Orleans area.
- This scholarship can be retained for eight semesters if the criteria above are met each semester.
- Copy of resume required.
Christine Marie Gonzales Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Minimum cumulative GPA 2.5.
- Junior or senior majoring in Business.
- Full-time student.
- Good moral character.
- Must have financial need.
- Preference will be given to a student who has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder.
- This scholarship can be retained for a total of four semesters or longer with approval of the College of Business Scholarship Committee as long as the criteria above are met each semester.

Citizens National Bank Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $270 annually.
- Graduating senior from a high school in Tangipahoa or east half of Livingston Parish.
- Majoring in Business, with interest in banking.
- Full-time student.
- Rank in the upper half of the graduating class. A copy of high school transcript must be included with other application materials.
- This scholarship can be retained if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.70.

Dorothy R. Lee Excellence in Business Endowed Scholarship
- Approximately $375 annually.
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.25.
- Major in Business.
- Demonstrate good moral character.
- Full-time student.
- This scholarship can be retained if the student maintains a major in Business and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- Copy of resume required.
Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank Scholarship

Full time student majoring in the College of Business, with preference given to a student interested in a career in banking and majoring in accounting,f inance, business administration, marketing or management.

Student must have complete 60 semester hours, with an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Students must be from one of the following parishes: Orleans, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, East Baton Rouge, Livingston, Jefferson, and Ascension.

This scholarship can be used for a total of two semesters as long as the above criteria is met and the student maintains a 2.75 GPA

Frances A Payne Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $350 annually.
- Full-time student, majoring in Finance.
- Minimum GPA of 2.50 and an ACT score of 20 or above.
- Financial need will be considered.
- Submit a one page written essay about why you feel you deserve this scholarhip.
- This scholarship can be retained if the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and remains a full-time student.
- Copy of resume required.
Freda O. Green Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.25.
- Beginning freshman.
- Preference given to a female student planning to major in Business.
- Demonstrate good moral character.
- Full-time student.
- This scholarship can be retained for up to eight semesters if a student maintains the above criteria and maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Copy of resume required.
The Harry and Audrey Gabriel Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $350 annually.
- Full-time student.
- Business major.
- Minimum cumulative GPA 2.50.
- Strong desire to continue education.
- This scholarship can be retained if the above guidelines are met.

Hood Automotive Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $350 annually.
- Full-time student majoring in Business.
- Beginning freshman, minimum high school GPA of 3.00.
- Upperclassman, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
- Good moral character.
- This scholarship can be retained for four years if the student maintains a major in Business and maintains a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
- Copy of resume required.
John and Beverly Manzella Endowed Scholarship in Business Administration
- Approximately $325 annually.
- 3.25 or higher cumulative college or high school GPA.
- Majoring in Business Administration or a beginning freshman planning to major in Business Administration.
- Full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours).
- Good moral character.
- This scholarship can be retained for up to a total of eight semesters, with approval of the College of Business Scholarship Committee, as long as a student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and meets all the other criteria above for each semester.

Joseph & Anna Piediscalzo Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $325 annually.
- 3.0 or higher cumulative college or high school GPA.
- Majoring in Business or a beginning freshman planning to major in Business.
- Full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours).
- Good moral character.
- This scholarship can be retained for up to a total of eight semesters, with approval of the College of Business Scholarship Committee, as long as a student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and meets all the other criteria above for each semester.

Joseph A. Luquet, Jr. Excellence in Business Endowed Scholarship
- Approximately $350 annually.
- Graduate of Mandeville High School.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Must have completed 30 hours of academic work at Southeastern.
- Majoring in Business.
- Full-time student.
- Active in extracurricular activities.
- This scholarship can be retained if the above guidelines are met.
- Copy of resume required.
The Neill Family Company Endowed Presidential Scholarhip
- Approximately $1,750 annually.
- 3.0 or higher cumulative college or high school GPA.
- Majoring in Business.
- Must be perceived as one with an "entrepreneurial spirit."
- An essay must be submitted indicating why the business community has the opportunity, as well as the obligation, to create change.
- This scholarship can be retained for up to eight semesters if the student maintains the above criteria.

The Patrick and Gail Ponder Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $430 annually.
- Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.
- Majoring in Business.
- Good moral character.
- Full-time student.
- This scholarship can be retained for eight semesters if the above criteria continue to be met.
- Copy of resume required.
The Reeves Family Scholarship in Finance
- Approximately $440 annually.
- Majoring in Finance.
- Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- Minimum of 60 hours earned with at least one semester of course work remaining.
- Full-time student.
- Active in university extracurricular activities.
- This scholarship can be retained if the above guidelines are met.

The Richard and Mercedes Durham Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Approximately $880 annually.
- Minimum 3.0 high school GPA.
- Majoring in Business.
- Good moral character.
- Full-time student.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- This scholarship can be retained for eight semesters if the above criteria continue to be met and the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.50.
- Copy of resume required.
Rodney C. Galatas Endowed Scholarship
- Minimum 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA.
- Majoring in Accounting or Finance.
- U.S. Citizen, African American, and able to qualify for federal financial aid.
- Full-time student.
- Preference given to undergraduate student; howver, a graduate student may apply.
- This scholarship can be retained for eight semesters if the above criteria continue to be met each semester.

The SGA Endowed Scholarship in Business
- Minimum 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
- Majoring in Business.
- Full-time student.
- Completed 45 hours of coursework at Southeastern and classified as a Junior.
- Record of active participation in a registered Southeatern student organization.
- Provide evidence of involvement in community service
- This scholarship can be retained for two semesters if the above criteria continue to be met each semester.

Southeastern Students Scholarship Fund
- Approximately $2,000 annually.
- Evidence of financial need.
- Majoring in Business.
- Full-time student.
- Demonstrated academic excellence.
- This scholarship can be retained based on the review of the Scholarship Committee.
- Copy of resume required.
William F. Kingsmill III Excellence in Business Endowed Scholarship
- Majoring in Business.
- Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.
- Must have completed at least 30 hours of academic coursework at Southeastern.
- Must be active in univeristy curricular activities.
