Business Perspectives Lecture Series

BUSINESS PERSPECTIVES LECTURE SERIES

General Information

Each year the College of Business devotes a selected part of a semester to foster interactions with business leaders and students in order to provide them with additional real-world business experiences beyond what is covered in their classes. This is currently known as the Business Perspectives Lecture Series. During this series, guest speakers are invited into the classroom to share their experiences with our students. By doing so, the College of Business hopes to create stronger ties to the community we serve. Guest speakers who take part in the Business Perspectives Lecture Series are outstanding business, governmental, and technology leaders from Hammond and the surrounding region.

This year, the Business Perspectives Lecture Series will span the two week period of October 19 – 30, and will be held in Garrett Hall (i.e., CBUS). It will focus on timely factors that may significanly impact current and future business and industry conditions. These factors include bailouts, economic and employment outlooks, budgetary reductions, and potential health care policies. If you need further information about this series, please contact the Dean’s office in the College of Business at 985-549-2258.
