Welcome to International Initiatives
and Study Abroad--Your Passport to Success!
The International Initiatives Office houses the Study Abroad program at Southeastern. Southeastern students, as well as visiting students, have the opportunity to take summer classes in foreign countries.
Programs are currently being offered in Costa Rica, Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Cologne, China, Honduras, Panama, and England. Classes offered include Business, Tropical Ecology, Literature, Foreign Language Studies, Theatre, Communication, History, Music, Nursing, and Art. Class offerings vary from year to year.
Studying abroad adds an invaluable dimension to a student’s academic, cultural, and professional development, and provides advantage in an increasingly competitive job market.
Firsthand experience of other countries and cultures provides a clearer understanding of ourselves, our own society and culture, our place in the global community, and our common human heritage.
